This video is really good, I like the distorted use of imagery at the start and throughout. The use of text is also a key point that stood out to me as well as the use of the random "visual samples" taken from other videos. I love this affect in videos as I think it is definately communicating the same ideas that I have when I scatter images everywhere, it is just a collection that seem to fit together perfectly even though they are so random. The styling is really good and I love the way he has his back to the camera quite alot. Love this video.
This video I liked because of the constant movement of the camera. I'm not sure why but I think it was a good factor. I also love the saturation of the colour- definately something I am going to use in my video, it gives the content such an edge and creates an ambience already without the need for much detail/ sound. Like seen in the images of the results on google I found for "desolate". The end shot is really key to me aswell, I like the way it ends up of just him, it is a really powerful image. I'd like to know what the hell he is going on about though!
And finally I really like this video not just because I like the song but the use of the text in the background and the colour scheme. The camera angles are really brilliant, I think this is something that I am going to keep in mind for the models poses, like the image below where the camera cuts off part of his face- having parts of the body cut out/ face etc makes the idea of distance and absence stronger. Maybe if I have a narrator I could use a similar way of filming him, as opposed to the usual inly audio clips used of narrators, I may include mine, I like the idea of just showing a mouth or maybe their eyes, or hands would be a good one- people normally talk with their hands. Definaltey like this idea...!
