Egon Schiele. I really like this picture I did of the legs. I love the way it just stops at the shoulders. Something beautiful about it, not so sure what. Thats my problem, I never know why I like something. Well usually its more love than like! Anyway back to Schiele. His illustrations are lush. I love the textures and the scratchy style of the outline. Rich colours and not always having the whole body the same colour- eg the legs on the illustration of the naked woman are completely different colour from the rest of the body, it creates a shadow, but I like to think of it as the way he likes to colour because I think it works really well. They are really beautiful, I think it would look lovely as an embroidery peice.
